For the time being:

  • added a MADX script to match optics;
  • a script to show summary data of scans;
  • added MADX macros to dump .tfs tables collecting optics/geometry/rMatrix at a specific element during a scan;

Other stuff:

  • .gitignore to skip some files with format not of interest for the repo;
  • possibility to plot optics read in a file where optics are appended;

TO-DO:

  • generalise script for plotting optics;
    • a single optics vs many;
    • a single file vs one per line;

* possibility to constrain current values in a specific range based on previous iteration in scan;
* possibility to reproduce optics with matched currents, to check actual optics;
* possibility to scan upstream/downstream and combine different scans;
* implemented a switch for cleaning output files;
* appending results to output files;
* prepare .xlsx file for QA scans + .tfs files for reproducing optics;
* compare matched optics and that from actual currents - only values at observation point...
* more flexible code;

At the same time, actual mu value at iteration 0 (and no longer the original one) is used for mu-scan
